How to Delete Your SteelFolio Account

You can delete your SteelFolio account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. Deletion is permanent, so please read this page before you start.

Export your data first

Deletion cannot be undone. Before you delete your account, export your collection data and files using the built-in export feature. Export is free and available on every plan. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover your data for you.

How to delete your account

What deletion removes

Deleting your account removes your user account and your content from our live systems, including your collection data, uploaded photos, receipts, condition audits, feedback submissions, and the market comparables you logged. Uploaded files are removed from our servers.

Backups

Your information is removed from our live systems immediately. Encrypted backup copies may still hold your data for up to about twelve months before they are automatically purged. We do not use backups to restore data you chose to delete. This matches the backup practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Community data you contributed

If you turned on community data contribution, any data you added to shared community datasets in de-identified, aggregated form is not tied to your account and may remain after your account is deleted. This mirrors the Community Data Contributions section of our Privacy Policy.

If you only want to stop paying

If your goal is to stop being billed rather than to erase your data, cancel your subscription instead of deleting your account. Cancellation stops future charges and moves you to the free plan, where your data stays within the free-plan limits. Deleting your account also ends your subscription and stops future charges, but it erases your data.

If you cannot sign in

If you cannot access your account, email us at hello@steelfolio.app from the address on your account and we will help you delete it.
